The Viking Ajman
Located in the heritage village of Ajman, stepping through the door of The Viking is like stepping into a different era. Dark stone walls and medieval decorations create the ambiance of an ancient castle or fort. The restaurant has about seven tables on the ground floor and several more on a balcony-like second floor, which gives it an intimate and authentic feel.
The food is absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and the portions are generous—sometimes even too generous! From 7 PM onwards, guests can enjoy a small show featuring musicians and a fire dancer every 30 minutes, which was a highlight for our children. Medieval props like swords and shields kept our son entertained after his meal and between the shows.
Though it’s a long drive from Dubai, we combined our dinner with a staycation, and it was definitely worth the visit. If this restaurant were located in Dubai, it would be crowded every night. It’s a dry restaurant that serves tasty mocktails. The restaurant opens at 12 PM, and the show starts at 7 PM
